This year 2020/2021 is the 46th year of CMDF. By thegrace of our loving Lord, and the unwavering supports of all our senior and respected brothers and sisters, the younger generation has carried on the torch to move our Fellowship forward. I firmly believe CMDF is our family forALL Christian doctors and dentists across ALL generations, where we can share, support and serve each other. Withour united witness, we can serve our community with our Christian faith.
CMDF five pillars of visions (5”M”):
1) To Worship and Glorify God by our united witness. (Magnifying God)
2) To Serve our community with our professional expertise. (Ministry)
3) To Evangelize via local and overseas medical missionary works. (Mission)
4) To provide a platform for Fellowship. (Membership)
5) To Disciple our doctors and students with Bible. (Maturation)
CMDF Monthly Gatherings
We organise monthly fellowship on the second Wednesday of every month at FES office. Due to the COVID-19 breaks out in the early time, we have to change the mode to zoom meeting but we have resumed physical gathering in May. Invited speakers included the followings:

CMDF Worship Team “杏林敬拜隊”
We have formed our CMDF worship team ”杏林敬拜隊”, which is led by Dr. Chen, Yi-Tin. The team includes a group committed Christian doctors, dentists, and students who have the vision to serve our Lord with music.
Media ministry: Medicine & Life (醫學人生) Project and Book
We collaborated with Tien Dao Worldwide Christian Media Association Limited in contributing a column in Ming Pao every Thursday in educating public on common medical problems with Christian love, and now this project is completed and ended in 2020. There are 37 writers and 337 articles are published.
1. We have published the sixth book of our “Medicine & Life” series – “Medicine, Life, Beauty”. This is a completion of 2018 articles at Ming Pao. (醫學、人生、美)
2. We have contributed articles in the publication of Hong Kong Association of Hospital Chaplaincy. (關心雜誌~醫護心語專欄)
International/ National Conferences and Collaboration
Praise God and we are the host to organize ICMDA EAST ASIA Conference Hong Kong 2021 in Tao Fong Shan and over 140+ participants. (Date: 6-8th August in hybrid meeting)
Houseman Career Conference
We have co-organised our annual Houseman Career Conference (Zoom), with Christian Doctors Network on 6th Nov, with over 340+ participants. COS sharing, CV preparation and Practical tips on job interview were discussed followed by group sharing with different subspecialties doctors. This is a meaningful ministry to serve our housemen during the important period of their career.
Medical Benefit Scheme for Christian Pastoral Staff
Through the Medical Benefit Scheme, CMDF continued to serve the pastors, missionaries and seminary students by providing specialist medical and dental service and professional opinion. This ministry can give prompt assessment and treatment of Christian workers in order to equip them with a good physical and mental health to serve. Currently, we have 32 members joined our scheme to serve around 400 candidates.
Mentorship Programme
Mentorship Programme has been launched in Jan. 2018 and now there are 51 mentors and 88 mentees.
Elective Programme ~ Clinical Attachment in overseas Mission Hospital
It has been launched in Jan. 2018 & there are 5 students sent to mission hospitals in India, Bangladesh and Nepal before. The program is suspended in 2020 & 2021 due to the outbreak of COVID 19 but it will be resumed in 2022 and 2 students are planned going to Bangladesh very soon next year.
Graduation Gathering
It is a good opportunity for our senior brothers and sisters to carry our blessings, love and support to the newly graduates, with over 50 participants come to gathering on 3rd Jun, 2021, and we pray for all fresh graduates aspire to be His witness and serve as salt and light at the workplace.
Saline Programme
We have co-organised Saline Programme with Christian Doctors Network, Healthcare Christian Fellowship on 5th April 2021, the spirit of Saline is “Your Workplace, Your Mission” and its aim is to build up faith to witness Him and share the gospel at workplace, the course is very practical and we are equipped by addressing five core questions, with over 40+ participants and thanks for China Medical Team (Guangzhou) as trainers in the gathering.
