Dear companions of FES,
Peace be with you in the Lord!
In the past year, through the “Listening Campaign” and other ministry activities, FES staff team kept on walking closely with students in campus fellowships, enabling the young generation to share their inner struggles candidly. Together, we slowly stepped out of the valley brought about by the social changes in recent years. In a time of powerlessness, perceived by some as a time of hopelessness, we are convinced that the best response to these rapidly changing times is to become more aware of and rooted in the Word, and to live out our faith together through walking as a community!
This year, our staff also made efforts to encourage the campus fellowship members to learn and reflect on their faith, by organizing Bible studies lesson, theological seminars, Youth Bible Conferences, etc., together with the launch of the Bible Engagement series, participants were encouraged to deepen understanding of the Word. In addition, our staff endeavored to inspire students to explore their mission and seek their calling. During the past summer, nearly 20 students participated in the seven-day East Asia Regional Conference (EARC) in Thailand along with a number of our staff members.
Facing the rapid changes in the society, our staff remain steadfast in their positions, carrying on the mission of FES over the past decades, and walking with generations of believers. We thank God for leading us to nurture this generation of young believers in response to the current state of powerlessness and incoherence. May we all continue to walk with this generation of young people, and embrace the mission together through the faith that the Lord has given us in these turbulent times!
Please pray for us especially in this difficult economic climate, and support the student evangelical movement through donations. FES has a good tradition of giving Christmas gifts to our staff, and each year we appeal to our supporters to donate Christmas gifts as a token of our appreciation and recognition. Please give encouragement to the staff and recognize their faithful service.
Please continue to walk with us!
May the Lord, the peace-giver, give us peace always and in every way!
Emmanuel!
